Strength, even buried

Life doesn't always seem to blossom,
as nature does in spring
It sometimes proves to shrivle,
as leaves do in the fall
Worlds are turned upside down,
hearts cry and bleed
Sworded words cut deep,
and past remnants always creep
Emotions tossed; chaos, turmoil
People Lost; memories linger

No matter how long,
the leaves may fall
every baby must learn to crawl
eyes still cry, hearts still bleed
but soon flowers will bloom again
Despite the pain,
despite the hurt,
hearts all still strive on.

Hiding under a new facade
of good days and how are yous
We fight and try to stay strong
in all our daily dos
We pour out our souls
in song and dance,
and then truth can be seen
For all is not gone and lost.

Dead leaves go back into the earth
and hide beneath the soil,
while seeds of buried strength and life
still try to press through
we grow and grow
all through and through...
Not because of Fall, but because we have to.
